Before becoming a vicar, I spent 20 years in finance. I love sport (I support a rather inconsistent football team and an underachieving rugby team), predictable comedy, the weekend newspaper and eating (at home, at restaurants, at friends, in fact anywhere!).
I’m Stanley and it’s my job to keep the vicar in check! I take him for a walk each day which helps him pray and meet other people in the parish. I tend to take the vicar to South Park each morning around 7.00. We’d love to see you! I even appear on his business card!
My name is Katherine Miller and I am the Bible Teacher for the 11-18 year olds at St Matthews Church. I am married to Andrew after meeting at Durham University. I enjoy being outdoors, being creative and any excuse to travel the world!
Sue Pierson has been on the staff since 1979, first as full-time Deaconess, then part-time after she produced 2 children, and now Honorary (= unpaid!). Sue is married to Lance who is an actor, performing on his own and with a trio called ‘In Voice and Verse’.
I love being part of the family activities here at St Matthew’s and Messy Church is a great opportunity to meet new people, to get together with lots of different families and of course learn more about Jesus.
